Contact
The contact point of the golf swing is pretty standard, you want to hit the ball in the centre of the clubface.
Although each set of clubs has a different point in which you want to contact it with, depending on the balls position in your starting alignment.
Driver: With your driver you want to make contact with the ball slightly on the upswing, so you get loft, and power, this comes from the ball being in front of your feet.
Woods: With your woods, the ball is on the ground, so you want to hit it just after the bottemist most points in your swing, so you are slightly lofted up, and still hit the ball directly on the clubface, although get optimal loft for the shot.
Long Irons: In a long Iron shot, you want to hit the ball just after ypur swing bottoms out,so you can make contact, and carry the ball upwards, instead of hitting a flat shot while your club bottoms out.
Irons: You want to make contact with Irons below above a 6 iron in the middle of your stance, as they have the loft to get the ball high, and straight even while your club is bottoming out.
Wedges: Wedges you want to have just off the back of the middle because you want the ball to be carried upwards from your shot, so it can go higher.
